Our story

Rooted by the tide

An independent West Kirby meeting place shaped by the water, its regulars and the people behind the counter.

Since 2010

A familiar place with a new chapter

Tanskeys opened beside Marine Lake in 2010 and was run by Hannah Cleator and her family for around 15 years. In July 2025, long-serving head chef Jonathan Green and Maureen Hanson took over the business, beginning a new chapter for a familiar West Kirby venue.
